  • Don't Leave Me This Way: Tears in Tv's Cancellation Graveyard

    Shadowlocked: November 26, 2010

Article about cancelled shows mentions VM.

And let us not forget Veronica Mars, the star-making vehicle for Kristen Bell. To this day, Bell asserts that if she had the funds to do it, she would fund a Veronica Mars movie herself. That's some devotion.

For Veronica Mars, it was simply that the show appealed to a select, dedicated audience, but with its extensive geek in-jokes and winks, it would have been extremely difficult for it to break into the mainstream.

    Veronica Mars
This cult hit is way smarter than its DVD cover art would have you believe. The detective-in-high-school/college premise works fantastically, thanks in part to featuring Kristen Bell in a role she was born to play.
Recommended relative pairing: Mom will love this one!

The funny thing is, over at TV Squad.com, they link to this TV.com article but change the headline to "'Veronica Mars' and 19 Other Excellent Shows to Watch on Netflix Over Thanksgiving." TV Squad link editors must be a VM fan.

  • More of TV's Underrated MVPs--from Allison Brie to Summer Glau!

    Suite 101: November 21, 2010

Joshua Gray lists Ryan Hansen as one of TV's underrated MVPs.

His Party Down and Veronica Mars characters are similar in the sense that they're very easy-going, irresponsible and girl-crazy (and that's putting it lightly), but Hansen did a good job of not making the same character despite their likenesses. While he's typically known for being the one to bring humor to a scene, there were plenty of times throughout the run of Veronica Mars where Hansen proved that he was able to go a bit deeper than comedic relief.

I know he plays the hapless moron with ease, but I think there's more to Hansen that meets the eye and expect great things in the future.
