GQ (Literature)

"The sheriff seemed awfully interested in my cologne. Uh, GQ had a sample of it in the back-to-school issue, so I hardly think that's some huge clue. Now, do you think I'm the only guy at Hearst who owns clippers and subscribes to Gentleman's Quarterly?"

An upscale men's style magazine, Gentlemen's Quarterly features articles — yes, real articles, unlike some other men's magazines — on fashion, food, books, sex, and music. Even the term "getting GQ'd up" has entered the lexicon, referring to a guy who looks suave and stylish. Mercer seems to be the perfect Hearst candidate for a GQ subscription, but how many others are there like him?
