The Paper Chase (Movies)

"Wallace is letting me stay in his dorm room till he and his roommate get back from their weekend. They're cramming, Paper Chase style, at some motel out in Twenty-nine Palms."

This 1973 film is not about a man who chases a piece of paper for two hours. That would be called Chasing Paper: Yeah, It's Boring, But It Makes An Important Allegorical Statement About the Futility of Life. Our movie is about a dedicated law student who struggles to survive Harvard's rigorous program. In one scene, he and another classmate sequester themselves in a hotel room for seven days and nights to study for finals. Veronica tells Keith that Wallace and Piz will only be gone for the weekend, but being holed up in a motel room for three days, just to study, gives them several well-deserved cool-nerd points.
